Community Engagement
The Center’s mission aims to extend our research beyond the walls of the laboratory and into the broader community. Since our start in 2008, we began receiving numerous requests from community members, organizations and institutions looking for ways to learn about our research, invest in and support our work and collaborate with our scientists and staff. This deep and overwhelming interest represents a collective hunger for information, tools and practices that promote and cultivate healthy living.
The CIHM has a small but dedicated staff whose core responsibility is finding ways to share our research with the world. This means disseminating information and news through our website, newsletters, webcasts and social media outlets and offering events that highlight the cutting-edge research we are conducting.
