The Impact Foundation is a founding collaborator and donor of the Center. In support of Dr. Davidson’s professional dream, Ulco Visser, President of the Impact Foundation, generously gifted the CIHM funds to begin building its state-of-the-art facility within the Waisman Center. Support was also given to establish and implement outreach programs, and for the recruitment and hiring of CIHM staff.

The Fetzer Institute has generously given a $2.5 million grant to enable the Center to embark on the Fetzer Initiative on the Neuroscience of Love, Compassion and Forgiveness. This ambitious program will include:

The 2009-2010 Fetzer Fellows are Brianna Schuyler and David Perlman
The 2008-2009 Fetzer Fellows were Helen Weng and Daniel Levinson

The National Institutes of Health, National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) awarded a $6 million grant to the CIHM to establish the Wisconsin center of excellence in research on the neuroscience and psychophysiology of meditation. This NCCAM center grant is based within the CIHM and supports basic neuroscientific research on meditation.

Thanks to generous funds from the DAV Charitable Services Trust, one of our outreach programs will offer evidence-based complementary and alternative interventions and programs free of charge to local veterans.
